Our range of Loosehanger Cheeses
Our cheeses are predominantly made with Ayrshire cows milk using GM-free vegetarian rennet. Since April 2006 we have also been making pressed and a Blue goats milk cheeses.
The cheeses are best kept refrigerated and brought to room temperature 30 minutes before use.
The whole cheeses come in three different sizes depending upon availability. Cut portions are always available.

PRESSED COWS MILK CHEESE
Loosehanger Original
Supple, silky-textured, cheese with small, scattered holes. Its delicate flavour will vary slightly through the seasons but is always light & creamy. This is the basis of our entire Loosehanger pressed cheese range
Hampshire Rose
The very best batches of our Woodfalls cheeses are matured for 6 months to bring you Hampshire Rose, a firmer textured, deeper flavoured cheese that still retains the unique creamy taste of our Ayrshire cows milk
Loosehanger Oak Smoked
Gentle "cold smoking" over seasoned oak by Fjordling Smokehouse, Salisbury, produces a delicious, subtle, smoky aftertaste. Gold Medal Winner at the 2004 British Cheese Awards.
Loosehanger Italian Herbs
Often called our 'Pizza cheese' this won a top award for flavour with the children at Nantwich International Cheese show.
Loosehanger Leek & Onion
A prizewinner at Nantwich International Cheese show. The use of four types of Allium ensures a superb, well balanced, onion flavour right through this cheese.

BLUE CHEESE
Old Sarum
A delicious, creamy blue cheese Judged Best Blue Cheese 2007. Made with pure Ayrshire cows milk to produce a wonderful velvety texture
New Forest Blue
New Forest Blue is based on a blue mould used in Stilton. This results in a, generally, firmer cheese with a tasty blue tang. Added to the creamy tasting Ayrshire cows milk it
makes a wonderful combination.
GOATS CHEESE
Nanny Williams' Blue
Winning Silver at the 2010 International Cheese awards and the Clawson award for best Small Blue producer in 2008, our Blue goats cheese is both rare and prized for its delicious, creamy flavour. It just melts in your mouth. The goat flavour is complimented by the blue tang - perfect for those who can't have cows milk and those who like blue cheese.
New Forest Nanny
A delicious fresh tasting goats cheese with the characteristic silky texture of all Ness' cheese. You'll be delighted by its sweet, mild flavour making it suitable for those who usually steer clear of goats cheese.
